Exactly one month ago has passed KinbaCon.
All who wished to write a feedback about it, have already done this. Let me put the end line.
Despite of huge losses and a small number of visitors, we are very happy, that this event came true.
We did exactly what we declared: only bondage in the Japanese style and only with a natural rope.
It should be noted, that nobody in our region, neither in Europe nor in US have not yet invited for such events real Japanese kinbakushi from Tokyo. It seems that we are the first, who have not regretted money on this.
We think, that the main achievement of the organization was an accurate following to the schedule. The event has begun exactly at 13:00, as well as it was declared. Further performances went one after another up to a minute. It seemed impossible, but that was really so. And this is without preliminary rehearsals. In the end, however, performances began to outpace the schedule, but it's not so terrible.
There were also defects, but they always happen.
A place has been chosen very well. A cozy night club, decorated in dungeon style, a few points for suspensions, various balconies for visitors. And all this was only in 15 minute walk from the city center.
Performances of Arisue Go and Kogure were really impressed. The incredible speed, ease and accuracy of movements. It was not even a dance - it was a theatre. Amazing show. Those, who consider themselves as shibari/kinbaku lovers and for some reasons didn't come - have lost a great deal.
On the event there were people from 7 countries: Israel, France, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Russia and Ukraine.
Will be KinbaCon next year? I don't know. We have no more money to sponsor such event on our own as it was this year. If will appear serious-minded financial sponsors, then, probably, it was not the last time. We would really like, that they appear.
